You already know my name is Bill. I'm 47, single, probably more gay than
straight, and I live in Florida.
In 2001, I was castrated by a burdizzo clamp because, at the time, I felt
desperate to control my sex drive, and I felt castration was a solution.
I experienced many changes, and while my balls lost 30-50% of there mass,
they didn't shrivel up like I expected and I believed I failed. Life went
on and eventually I forgot to notice what was different and what was not.
In 2002, life got a little tough, no worse than it had before, just tough.
This time instead of instinctively fighting back, as I always would have
done, I gave in to the dark side of my mind, full of it's self-doubts and
self-dislikes. I wound up in a severe depression and didn't even realize
it for almost two more years.
Finally I climbed out of the depression, and got back to normal. As I took
a personal inventory, I started to realize just how much I had changed
since my castration. One thing led to another and in 2006 I clamped myself
with a burdizzo once again. While it's too soon to say for sure if I achieved
100% success or not, I can say that I seem to have killed what was left
of my sex drive! In that way there's no question that I succeeded.
Anyway, I am a rather simple person in that have simple wants, needs, and
dreams. I have a few close friends, not a lot, and I enjoy spending time
with these friends. I also enjoy spending time alone as I do a good job
of entertaining myself.
Computers are probably my favorite hobby. As you can see, I can design
web pages. I also do database design and write some programs. I've taught
myself this, because the real hobby is learning and the real reasons I
like computers is that there is always something new to learn.
I also enjoy reading. Particularly science fiction, and alternative history.
Harry Turtledove is my favorite author. I am a dedicated Stargate SG-1
addict, and yes, in it's time, I was a Star Trek junkie, too. But I have
never been as dedicated to a TV show as I am to Stargate. Movies are fine,
but when you're alone a book is more relaxing than a movie. Movies are
great when you have company but that's because of the company, not the
movie. At least that's how I feel about movies.
I love nature and the outdoors. As well as anything that has to do with
the outdoors, like camping, hiking, fishing, canoes or kayaks, etc. But
a large part of what I like about nature and the outdoors is the quiet,
peaceful nature of it. So this means that noise, like motorboats, four-wheelers,
etc., aren't high on my list of priorities.
I also do not care for organized sports. I totally HATE football because
it's gotten to be so commercial. To me, games are suppose to be something
you play for FUN, like with your friends or something. I just don't see
the point in keeping track of all these games that OTHER PEOPLE PLAY, and
I don't have any where near the patience required to sit still and watch
a game on TV or something.
I like and admire animals, especially dogs. I believe that we underestimate
the intelligence of the average dog dramatically. I don't have a dog right
now but plan to get one soon, I hope to always have one. I enjoy spending
time with dogs almost more than humans because their motivations are so
much more pure! Cats are fine but I don't want them around me.
I'm a very kind, generous and honest person by nature. I enjoy helping
people, to an extent. I enjoy sharing what I have, to an extent. I have
no use for people who won't help themselves and I have no use for alcoholics
or drug addicts who give in to their addictions. I also dislike people
who push their religion on me, or for that matter, people who try to push
anything on me. I also dislike men who wear ties.
I am a Christian and to me that means Full Gospel Christianity. We are
the people who hug each other and smile and cry and let our emotions show
like we are alive, treating Worship as a celebration and experiencing Christianity
to it's fullest. Some established religions consider us extremists; I consider
them hypocrites. I do not agree with the "Religious Right" because
they want to push THEIR religion on others.
Politically I believe our two-party system is totally corrupt. The real
power lies in the Party, not in the voter. If the politician doesn't follow
his party, his party does not finance his campaign. So I will say that
I am an environmentalist but a financial conservative, a believer in a
the best defense being a good offense. I am a social liberal in that I
believe strongly in protecting human rights to the extreme if necessary.
But as far as how I vote ... I believe that our best defense is to keep
those in power from gaining too much power. So I always vote for whoever
is not in power. Republican or Democrat, doesn't matter, both are equal
crooks. Just don't vote for whoever won last time. Right now George Bush
has given the Republican party a bad name so it might be hard to switch
back as the Democrats slowly regain power!
My primary goal in life now is to live the rest of my days as peacefully
as possible. I don't need some monument to make me feel like I have accomplished
something. I don't care about that. If I can die feeling that I have enjoyed
each day of my life as much as I could then I will die happy. Of course,
I hope to have many more days of happiness before I die.
