I don't blame you. I'm a very happy Eunuch. Before I was done I had this almost magical vision of an Eunuch, one that was rooted in a lot of the stories I'd read on The Eunuch Archive. Most of the stories seem to silently encourage that: they always seem to paint an Eunuch as an almost perfect figure, like all the effects will be good and none of them will be bad. This is not really true. First off, testosterone has many needs and benefits in the human body and most of them have nothing to do with sex. If you are seriously considering your castration, then I very strongly urge you to investigate hormones, and the effects of hormones on your body before you do anything to yourself. The human body grows and develops until sometime around age 40. Then it begins to decline and age, gradually and slowly, until we die. It's also proven that men experience something called ANDROPAUSE, which is the male menopause, beginning around age 40. Is this a concindence? I think now. I believe that testosterone is the bodies own "fountain of youth". I certainly feel that I have aged quite a bit in the past 7 years and I think a lot of that was caused by my low testosterone - it is one of the reasons that I now take some artificial testosterone. So I do urge you to some research and give the idea a tremendous amount of thought before you make a final decision. Having said all this, I must also say that while I think castration has tremendous risks and a price that may be high, I would not undo my castration even if I could. In my opinion, the rewards are defintely greater than the risks. Even if that means I give away ten years of my life - I would rather have a short life with the peace I have today, than a long life that was as tortured as I was prior to my castration.
Lot's of people write me and tell me how they want to do what I did. I'm here to say that it's very difficult to clamp yourself and do it properly. I wonder if I had gotten someone else to clamp me the second time, would I have experienced more testicle shrinkage? It's very possible. Anyway it's my opinion that anyone who wants to be clamped, should first find someone they trust to close the clamp on them. Even though I did it, I don't recommend the burdizzo as a do-it-yourelf activity. The safest and surest way to be castrated, is to be surgically done. It can be done, and costs about $2,000. plus any travel and/or motel expenses. Dr. Murray Kimmel, M.D., in Philadelphia, can be contacted at 215-563-0847. He does not require any physiological evaluations, just an appointment and your money. If you are sure you want to be castrated, this is by far the safest and surest way to go. I know several Eunuchs who have used Dr. Kimmel's services and have heard no complaints. Unfortunately, I do not know of any other doctors in the US or in Europe who will do this surgery without the physiological evaluation crap. There are people who are not doctors, many of whom are qualified to castrate you surgically. Many of them are also totally unqualified, even dangerous. If you choose this option it's important that you be very careful! Many of these "cutters" are well qualified and will castrate you just as nicely as any Doctor could. But if you found one who was not experienced you could be butchered, and wind up in a hospital (if you're lucky) Trying to castrate yourself with a knife is like sending yourself an engraved invitation to the local emergency room (if you're lucky) ... Some men choose alcohol injections. I don't know much about this, and I don't know if it's successful or not. It sounds dangerous to me, to inject something like that into your body. Anyway I don't know anything about this and certainly wouldn't recommend it. For those of you who, like me, take the do it yourself option, I obviously favor the burdizzo. I also obviously recommend that you have somene else hold and close the clamp. . When I was looking for help, I turned to the Yahoo! Burdizzo Group, posted a message asking for help and got some replies. Most importantly, just be thoughtful and careful. You've lived with your balls this long, it would be better to continue living with them than risk dying to kill them.
